Break through the confusion with Recycle Check.
We know recycling can be confusing. What is accepted in one community program may be different in another.
This new tool, from The Recycling Partnership, offers an interactive solution to give local, package-specific recycling information to people across the U.S. in seconds.

How does Recycle Check work?
Recycle Check connects packaging information submitted by brands with The Recycling Partnership’s National Recycling Database, a centralized hub of local recycling information from community programs across the United States, covering 97% of the population.
Thanks to cutting-edge technology, the Database captures local recycling changes as they occur so you’ve always got up-to-date information.

Recycling is not just about the materials we recycle.
Once someone has access, recycling, and especially recycling well, does not just happen. It happens when people have the knowledge, confidence, and drive to recycle.
Recycling behavior has been part of The Partnership’s focus from our beginning – from developing our Feet on the Street anti-contamination program to testing the most effective messaging on infocards. And in 2022, the Center for Sustainable Behavior & Impact was created to drive measurable improvement in residential recycling behaviors and boost confidence in the U.S. recycling system. Through research and pilot projects on what works and what doesn’t, learn what steps your community can take to improve recycling.
